INSANE ENDING To The First Half Of The Knicks

INSANE ENDING TO THE FIRST HALF OF THE KNICKS

A Back-and-Forth Affair

The game started with both teams trading baskets, but the Knicks took an early lead thanks to some hot shooting from Jalen Brunson and Quentin Grimes. The Celtics fought back, however, and by the end of the first quarter, the game was tied at 30.

The second quarter was just as competitive, with neither team able to establish a significant lead. With just seconds remaining in the half, the Knicks had a two-point lead, but the Celtics had the ball.

The Hail Mary

Jayson Tatum, the Celtics’ star player, drove to the basket and drew a foul from Isaiah Hartenstein. Tatum made both free throws to tie the game with just 1.9 seconds remaining.

The Knicks immediately called a timeout to set up a play. Brunson inbounded the ball to Grimes, who quickly passed it to RJ Barrett. Barrett took a dribble and launched a desperation three-pointer as time expired.

The ball bounced off the rim and hung in the air for an eternity. As the crowd watched in stunned silence, the ball finally dropped through the net, giving the Knicks a 61-59 lead going into halftime.

Barrett’s Heroics

“I just wanted to give our team a chance to win,” said Barrett after the game. “I didn’t think it was going in, but I’m glad it did.”

Barrett finished the half with 15 points, while Brunson added 12. Tatum led the Celtics with 18 points.

What’s Next?

The second half of the game is set to begin at 8:00 PM ET. The Celtics will be looking to avenge their first-half loss, while the Knicks will be aiming to extend their lead.
