Father Faces Criminal Charges in Connection to Son’s Violent Act
Marietta, Georgia – The father of the 14-year-old suspect in the recent school shooting at North Cobb High School has been arrested and charged with multiple felonies.
Authorities allege that the father, identified as 54-year-old Michael Brandon Hill, “knowingly and willfully” allowed his son access to the firearm used in the shooting. Hill faces charges of reckless conduct, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

According to investigators, Hill purchased the gun used in the shooting in January 2023. Hill admitted to knowing about his son’s “recent disturbing behavior” and that his son posted threats of violence online.
